Q Branch Ltd. has some really interesting stuff in their store. One of the items I've been looking at is called a lucet (see pic below). It's a wooden gizmo to make cords. Totally reminds me of my Renasaince Club days at the College of Santa Fe.

I love that lucet- my Grandmother collected antique sewing tools, and last time I was over there my Grandfather and I puzzled out how to use the lucets.

Lacis carries a great book on using lucets. They tell you how to make decorative cords using beads and such.
